Baxi Group is one of Europe’s leading heating groups and is at the forefront of the development, design and manufacture of mini-CHP technology. Based in Derby, the Group has a substantial UK manufacturing operation and employs almost 5,500 people. The Group has undertaken a number of initiatives in response to the UK Government’s stated objectives concerning sustainable energy systems and has set down its own targets to increase the installed capacity of CHP and reducing CO₂ emissions.

The DACHS was developed by the Baxi Group company SenerTec GmbH – Europe’s leading exponent of the use of internal combustion engine technology for CHP applications. SenerTec and its partner network have installed over 17,000 units within Europe working as a stand-alone heating and electricity generating solutions, as well as in tandem with hot water boilers. DACHS units have been operating reliably and successfully for many years, some of which have been running for over 80,000 hours.
